Steve Wright and Simon Elmont share a passion for the Arctic, its people, and the effects of climate change on our planet. This spring they will pull two 100 Kilo sledges some 600km across Greenland in temperatures down to -40°C, traversing the central ice plateau at a height of approaching 3000m.
Many school science students are devising experiments for the team to carry out on the ice. Data will be posted daily online, for students to process.

Energy Saving Competition 2009
Enter the Greener Guernsey Energy Saving Competition 2009 to save energy and win fabulous prizes for you and your school! Your science teacher will ask your class one question for each week that the Greenland 2009 expedition team is on the ice cap. Just answer all four questions correctly (all the answers are contained in the Energy Centre At Home Eco Living booklet and greenerguernsey.com).
We also want to hear what you think every person in the world should do to reduce global warming, so please send your Green Wish in with your fourth answer! We will use the best ones to help Guernsey to save energy.
